Reporting into the Production Scheduling you will work within SAP CMOPS (Caterpillar Machine Orders Processing System) and other order management systems to forecast and review actual orders that are coming into the facility determine if we have the finished purchased components available assigned to an order and establish the schedule and promise date to the dealer.
What you can look forward to in this role:
- Supervising and controlling new sales orders identifying the key elements and communicate downstream for required actions.
- Auditing order change requests from customers evaluate acceptance of the order change request from a material production plan technical and logistics perspective.
- Serving as primary contact for customer inquiries; providing feedback about lead time planned timeline order change order reschedules etc.
- Aligned customers order with Sales production plan to achieve the monthly goal.
- Primary contact with other departments department to manage sales and customer priorities.
- Assists in the collection and preparation of required demand information.
- Participates in the preparation of shortterm demand management for a specific product or site.
- Produces basic demand management reports for senior staff to reconcile the demand balances.
- Summarizes and reports problems such as issues and concerns currently existing in demand management operations.
- Uses tools with guidance to predict and plan demand assess seasonal factors and trends
A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Planning: Tactical Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term) tactical 12 years) and strategic 35 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Demand Management: Knowledge of processes and methods of Demand Management; ability to effectively sense predict plan for and manage the demand for products and services.
- Forecasting: Knowledge of forecasting tools approaches and practices; ability to determine product demand and estimate production requirements and loads.
Top Candidates for this position may also have:
- Strong SAP system skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong product knowledge
- Strong familiarity with company manufacturing process and equipment
- Strong interpersonal teamwork organization and communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma project management concepts.
- Experience in scheduling or supply chain related role
- Knowledge of Caterpillar prime products and attachments
- Team lead experience

Summary Pay Range:
