Role Summary:
Are you a numbers whiz with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for making real impact At ROCKWOOL were on the lookout for a Finance Analyst whos ready to dive into the heart of our operations and help shape smarter leaner more efficient production strategies.
This isnt just any finance role. Youll be at the intersection of data production supply chain and strategy driving insights that influence big decisions across the business from cost savings to investment planning. Location: This position is based at our offices in Pencoed Bridgend.
Your Future Team:
Youll report to our Head of Business Controlling and work closely with departments like Production Maintenance and Supply Chain to turn financial data into actionable insights. Youll also have regular exposure to our Senior Management Team presenting your findings and contributing to high-impact decisions.
What you will be doing:
- Analysing production costs including direct labour direct materials and overheads to identify trends inefficiencies and opportunities for cost improvements
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial information to trial balance ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Collaborating with the operations teams to propose and evaluate opportunities for cost saving initiatives and efficiency improvements across production
- Tracking and monitoring capital projects from initiation to completion ensuring alignment with budget and strategic goals
- Participating in the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for manufacturing costs and operational expenses
- Supporting the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries reconciling accounts and analysing inventory and cost of goods sold
- Playing an active role in the upcoming ERP system upgrade ensuring financial processes and reporting needs are effectively integrated
What you bring:
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field
- A strong analytical mindset and love for numbers
- A proactive attitude and clear communicator especially when turning data into narratives
- Experience with Excel or data tools and curiosity for systems like ERP
- Solid understanding of finance accounting or business operations (experience in a manufacturing environment a bonus)
