Reporting to the Radiology Education and Implementation Manager the Radiology Training Coordinator is responsible for administering all aspects of the electronic learning management system (HealthStream) manages logistics as well as coordinates and schedules participants for a variety of departmental educational programs to include and not limited to New Employee Orientation Software Implementation Training Contrast Emergency Management Simulation and HeartCode Certification. The incumbent will also partner with content matter experts to create and support educational opportunities across the department.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Functions as the main administrator for the MGH Radiology electronic learning management system (e.g. HealthStream). Duties may include managing student accounts creating and maintaining online courses and curricula assigning elective/ mandatory training running and analyzing reports and leading troubleshooting when necessary
  • Provides HealthStream learning management system support to leadership. Trains area managers/supervisors on basic use of the systems selfserve functionalities such as reporting development and delegation of competency assessments and the creation of electronic technical checklists
  • Coordinates the registration and delivery of onsite training programs and services such as New Employee Orientation Software Implementation Training (Epic) Contrast Emergency Management Simulation and HeartCode Certification
  • Rotates facilitation of the Department of Radiologys monthly New Employee Orientation program averaging 15 new hires
  • Creates Radiology training and development. Delivers training to various role groups. Partners with content experts (SMEs) and/or department preceptors as needed
  • Develops and maintains departmental Educational Resources listing including trainers preceptors HeartCode instructors and educational tools and devices (simulation manikins electronic devices etc. Updates and communicates changes in status as needed
  • Manages training logistics including room AV catering course materials etc.
  • Assists in identifying departments administrative and training needs
  • Assists with updating training related communications and educational materials
  • Special projects as necessary involving educational programming
  • May represent the department at various meetings within and outside the hospital
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Attention to Detail/Organizational Skills Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete tasks. Followthrough and exceptional attention to detail is essential.
  • Communication Skills Effective observation/listening skills to anticipate the needs of internal/external customers and provide the highest standard of customer service. Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with others.
  • Computer/Technical Skills Basic Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook skills. Previous experience with Learning Management System desirable.
  • Flexibility to work in a collaborative team environment across multiple programs.
  • Self Starter Ability to proactively identify tasks requiring attention. Demonstrated problem solving skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree required Masters preferred
  • Minimum 35 years experience in a professional work environment.
