Location:Flimby West Cumbria
Salary:40000 depending on experience
Employment Type:Permanent FullTime 7am 5pm Monday to Thursday.

The Flimby factory established in 1982 is at the heart of New Balances Made in UK collection producing iconic styles that celebrate the brands heritage while embracing modern advancements.

The role:

As aTeam Leaderat New Balances Flimby facility you will play a key leadership role in ensuring worldclass manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will oversee the Value Stream (team of circa 15 colleagues) driving productivity efficiency and customer service improvements while maintaining the highest standards of health & safety and product quality. This role is pivotal in identifying performance gaps leading root cause analysis and implementing solutions that contribute directly to the businesss bottom line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead motivate and coachyour team to foster a highperformance culture.
  • Act as achampion for health safety and environmental standards ensuring risks are minimised.
  • Ensuretoptier product quality working closely with teams to address and prevent defects.
  • Driveeffective communicationwithin the Value Stream.
  • Setclear expectationsfor direct reports ensuring they have theresources training and development opportunitiesneeded for success.
  • Manage performance and resolve conflicts working in partnership with HR when necessary.
  • Overseelabour and resource allocation ensuring production targets are met.
  • Compileperformance reports attend key meetings and escalate issues promptly.
  • Collaborate withcrossfunctional teamsto achieve efficiency cost and delivery targets.
  • Ensure adherence tocompany policies leadership competencies and core values.

What Were Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of building highperforming teams within a manufacturing production or engineering environment.
  • Strong communication and coaching skills with an inspiring leadership style.
  • A customer and qualityfocused mindset.
  • A safetyfirst approach with a commitment to health & safety compliance.
  • Proficiency in Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Problemsolving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Flexibility adaptability and strong time management skills.
