Carlow Universitys College of Health and Wellness and School of Nursing is seeking a fulltime 12month) nursing faculty member for the Oakland campus located in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to begin August 15 2025. The fulltime nontenuretrack faculty member will have primary responsibility in the practical nursing certificate program with additional duties of teaching service and scholarship. Primary teaching responsibilities will focus on the PN program major courses and will also function in the role of clinical instructor. Expertise in the care of adults and older adults required. Recent clinical experience is required. Expectations are consistent with the Core Competencies for Nurse Educators described in the Scope and Practice for Academic Nurse Educators (NLN 2020. Candidates should have prior experience in nursing education and leadership and possess clinical expertise and strong skills in nursing practice. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with educational preparation and experience. Required Education/Experience/Qualifications: Valid current unrestricted Pennsylvania RN License. Masters degree in nursing required. Doctoral degree preferred. Demonstrated expertise in teaching in an academic and clinical setting with nursing students. Evidence of clinical expertise in nursing skill development and practice Clearances Upon hire and updated every three years to include ACT 153 Clearances (FBI Fingerprints Child Abuse and PA State Police).
