Job Description
Park Nicollet s looking to hire a Rehab Clinic Assistant to join our Physical Therapy team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
Performs a variety of clerical and clinical tasks assisting the Rehabilitation Services Care Teams in providing outstanding patient care and services.
This position includes wound care with the candidate receiving training to work alongside a physical therapist one shift a week (Thursdays).
Consists of setting up the room (per treatment/patient needs) assisting in the treatment under the guidance of the therapist including treating taking pictures specimens and being available for requests to assist or additional equipment/supplies and cleaning the room and equipment.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in wound care and looking for a more handson patient facing role.
Work Schedule:
- Monday: 9:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m.
- Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: 10:15 a.m. 6:45 p.m.
- Thursday: 8:15 a.m. 4:45 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
Required Qualifications:
- Six months experience in a customer service job or medical related experience in a hospital rehab or clinical setting.
- Must be able to work independently under the supervision of multiple rehabilitation professionals on recurring assignments.
- Should have critical thinking skills and be able to problemsolve.
- Strong verbal communication customer relations and listening skills are essential.
- Good telephone etiquette money handling and keyboarding skills are needed.
- Must be able to promote and maintain good customer relations and patient confidentiality.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in person and over the phone with a wide variety of patients (i.e. Those with speech and hearing impairments those requiring interpreters)
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment that includes switching between tasks.
- Comfortable working with computers and learning new equipment and software as needed within the scope of the role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
