Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Fabricator to join our team at Archer Meat Snacks. As a Fabricator you will be responsible for assembling constructing and maintaining machinery equipment and systems used in food production. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of production lines and maintaining high standards of safety efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate assemble and install equipment used in food manufacturing including conveyors processing machinery and other food productionrelated equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work orders to determine material requirements and equipment specifications.
- Operate welding cutting and grinding equipment to fabricate parts and components.
- Ensure all fabricated equipment meets safety standards and complies with industry regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on machines and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption in production.
- Monitor the production process to ensure fabricated systems and machinery are functioning optimally.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fabrication area to comply with food safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineers production managers and other team members to design and implement new equipment and process improvements.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery or systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in welding metalworking or mechanical fabrication are preferred.
- Proven experience with 35 years as a fabricator preferably in the food industry or similar manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficient in welding metalworking and the use of hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of safety standards and food industry regulations.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina to handle lifting standing for extended periods and working in potentially noisy environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with stainless steel fabrication and handling foodgrade materials.
- Familiarity with automation systems used in food production.
- Knowledge of CAD software for design and blueprint creation.
Working Conditions:
- The role may require flexibility in scheduling including shifts including evenings weekends or holidays.
- Some work may involve exposure to high/low temperatures or machinery noise.
- Safety gear (e.g. gloves goggles hearing protection) must be worn at all times.
