Job Description

The Cut to Pack Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire production process from cutting to packing in a garment manufacturing unit. This role ensures that all stages from fabric cutting to final packing are executed efficiently meet quality standards and are aligned with production schedules. The manager will lead the cuttopack team optimize workflows and ensure that products are delivered on time within budget and in accordance with quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cutting Section Management:

    • Oversee the cutting process ensuring that fabric is cut according to patterns and specifications minimizing wastage and ensuring efficient use of materials.
    • Coordinate with the design and production teams to ensure that fabric cutting aligns with production schedules.
    • Supervise and manage cutting personnel ensuring that all team members are properly trained and following the correct procedures.
    • Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of cutting equipment and machinery.
  2. Production Scheduling & Coordination:

    • Develop and manage daily and weekly production plans based on sales orders ensuring deadlines are met.
    • Coordinate with the fabric store to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and fabrics for cutting.
    • Ensure the timely of the cutting stitching and packing processes to meet shipment deadlines.
  3. Quality Control & Assurance:

    • Monitor the cutting and packing processes to ensure that all garments meet the required quality standards.
    • Conduct regular quality checks on cut fabric and finished garments to identify defects or issues before they proceed to the next stage of production.
    • Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to address any nonconformance or quality concerns during production.
  4. Efficiency & Waste Management:

    • Optimize fabric utilization to reduce waste during the cutting process helping improve the overall costefficiency of the production.
    • Continuously monitor and improve the efficiency of the cutting and packing sections to ensure smooth production flow.
    • Implement best practices for waste management including fabric recycling or reuse where possible.
  5. Packing Management:

    • Oversee the packing section to ensure that garments are packed according to customer requirements specifications and industry standards.
    • Ensure that the packing process is organized efficient and that all items are correctly labeled and packed for shipment.
    • Supervise packing personnel and ensure they are properly trained in packing procedures safety protocols and quality checks.
  6. Team Leadership & Development:

    • Manage and lead the cuttopack team including cutting stitching and packing staff.
    • Provide guidance training and performance feedback to staff ensuring a high level of performance and efficiency.
    • Conduct regular meetings to review production progress address concerns and improve team performance.
  7. Inventory & Stock Control:

    • Monitor and maintain the stock of cutting tools packing materials and accessories.
    • Ensure proper inventory management for the cutting and packing sections ensuring there is no stockout or overstocking of materials.
  8. Reporting & Documentation:

    • Prepare and submit regular reports on production performance including output quality control and efficiency.
    • Maintain accurate records of production timelines material usage and packing details.
    • Report any production delays material shortages or other issues to senior management in a timely manner.
  9. Health & Safety:

    • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the cutting and packing areas.
    • Conduct regular safety checks and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  10. Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify areas for process improvement cost reduction and efficiency gains.
    • Implement changes to enhance productivity reduce waste and improve overall production quality.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Textile Engineering Fashion Design Industrial Engineering or a related field.
    • Additional certifications or training in production management or garment manufacturing processes is a plus.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a garment manufacturing environment with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing cutting stitching or packing processes.
    • Strong experience in production planning quality control and team management in the garment industry.
  • Skills:

    • Indepth knowledge of garment manufacturing processes including fabric cutting sewing and packing.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in production planning software or ERP systems.
