Job Description
Patient Care Associate (PCA) is currently opportunityavailable on Ellison 19. You will work under the direction ofa registered nurse to assist the multidisciplinary health care team in avariety of clinical support functions to promote a safe compassionate patientcare environment. Duties include responding to patient requests in a timelymanner safeguarding patient confidentiality monitoring patients andcommunicating in a respectful manner. This position requires the ability tohandle a variety of patient care tasks such as monitoring vital signs EKGADLs and executing blood draws.
- Current CNA certificate for Massachusetts and previous experience preferably in an acute setting.
- Effective customer service orientation and the ability to interact with diverse groups of patients staff and providers.
- Demonstrated ability to solve basic patient and practice problems using a combination of strong interpersonal and communications skills and attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and transport patients using the appropriate physical technique in a safe manner for the patient and self.
