Job Description

We have an exciting 6 months fixed term opportunity Were recruiting a Deputy Shop Manager at our Hanford shop Both Job Share and Full Time will be considered.

Were looking for someone who really wants to make a difference. You will work with likeminded people who share the same values have excellent customer service and thrive in a busy shop environment. Are you passionate about Retail and happy to help generate the income needed to support our local community

As the Deputy Shop Manager you will support a thriving dynamic and friendly team of staff and volunteers. Our Hanford shop is a fast paced and wellsupported shop in the heart of the Hanford Community. Day to day you will ensure the shop operations continue to meet the sales targets by ensuring we promote Gift Aid good stock management merchandising and supporting the manager.

Do you have a can do attitude well organised with a flexible approach to turn the fantastic pre loved donations we receive from local people into someone elses treasure.

Retail knowledge and working in a shop environment is key to our success however we offer full training and development opportunities. Full role details can be found on the Job Description.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Shop Manager in overseeing daily shop operations including opening and closing procedures
  • Assist in motivating and managing a team of staff and volunteers creating a welcoming and productive environment
  • Help with sorting pricing and displaying donations to maximise sales
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure high standards are maintained
  • Take on leadership responsibilities in the Managers absence
  • Oversee till operations and cash handling accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a safe organised and clean shopping environment

About You

Were looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Manager with a cando attitude and a commitment to supporting Dougie Macs mission. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills flexibility and a proactive approach to help the team succeed. Ideally youll have:

  • Previous experience in retail preferably in a large charity or high street shop setting
  • Strong leadership qualities to support and guide volunteers
  • A customerfocused approach and strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and cover shifts including weekends
  • An eye for detail and creativity to help present the shop attractively

Salary: 15680.42 24 hours) or 26134.07 40 hours)

Hours: Job Share Fixed Term 24 hours) 3 over 6 days

Or 40 hour contract 5 over 6 days.
