Water and Wastewater equipment
Onsite position
$80115k depending on experience
THE COMPANY is a supplier of customengineered headworks screens and grit/solids management equipment for the water and wastewater treatment markets. THE COMPANY is the North American sales and engineering subsidiary of a large parent company headquartered in Italy. THE COMPANY is conveniently located halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee.
Key Responsibilities
- The Project Manager coordinates internal and external resources to successfully manage and deliver customengineered equipment projects on time and on budget.
- Preparation of engineering submittals in accordance with specification documents and contractual requirements as well as monitoring/negotiating financial issues that impact the projects are key responsibilities of the position.
- Manage multiple projects in various stages of completion.
- Supervise the activities of detailers assigned to each of the projects and delegate additional responsibilities to increase their contributions to the projects.
- Maintain a minimum 90 ontime goal for submittal completion/approval and other timesensitive project deadlines.
- Review the consulting engineers specifications to verify that the equipment being provided will meet the requirements of the specifications.
- Responsible for the project from receipt of PO through submittal production release shipment and startup.
- Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors.
- Maintain job section budgets and margins.
- Prepare and submit monthly project updates.
- Prepare purchase requisitions.
- Work with Accounting on any accounts receivable issues.
- Be the main point of contact for contractors consulting engineers and sales representatives involved in the project.
- Complete job reconciliation process within the timeframe required by Accounting.
- A degree in Mechanical Civil or Environmental Engineering is preferred but a combination of education and handson experience is considered.
- A minimum of five years experience in water/wastewater engineering is preferred and experience with headworks liquid/solid separation equipment would be a definite plus.
- Someone outside the W/WW industry with a manufacturing PM background would also be considered.
