Were looking for an HR Generalist who is ready to provide comprehensive support across all core HR functions within our People Operations department through handson work supporting our team. About the Role
As an HR Generalist focusing on HR functions youll implement HR processes and contribute to maintaining a positive employee experience in a growing organization. Reporting to the Director of People Operations youll work autonomously on complex HR tasks ensuring quality through strong attention to detail and clear documentation. Youll collaborate with leadership to deliver highquality HR solutions adapting to different business needs as our company evolves all while focusing on supporting our team. This is a parttime position requiring approximately 30 hours per week with flexibility to accommodate occasional additional hours during busy periods. No travel is required.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations: Manage HRIS maintain personnel files and ensure data accuracy
Recruitment: Execute fullcycle recruitment from job postings to offer extensions
Onboarding/Offboarding: Participate in new hire processes coordinate system access and perform exit interviews
Benefits & Compensation: Administer benefits programs process payroll and manage leave tracking
Employee Relations: Handle basic issues maintain case documentation and process HR communications
Compliance: Monitor labor laws update policies and maintain required documentation
Data & Analytics: Maintain HR data run reports and track metrics
Performance Management: Administer review processes and support managers in performance discussions
DEIB: Support the development of our DEIB program Implement inclusive hiring practices and track relevant metrics
Immigration: Support visa processes and maintain compliance with requirements

What Youll Need
35 years of HR experience
Strong foundation in HR operations and compliance
Experience with ADP WorkforceNow or similar HRIS systems
Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (Lever preferred)
Familiarity with performance management systems and tools (Lattice preferred)
Knowledge of benefits administration and leave management
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters
Strong problemsolving and organizational skills
Clear documentation and communication abilities
Bachelors degree in HR Business or related field
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
A Typical Day
As an HR Generalist at Commerce Architects your day begins with checking emails and prioritizing HR tasks to support our internal teams. You might process new hire documentation for an engineer joining next week then spend time reaching out to engineering candidates in our pipeline to keep them engaged and informed about potential opportunities. After lunch you dive into updating the employee handbook with recent policy changes while also responding to team members benefits and leave questions. You check in with the recruiting team about upcoming interviews and update HR metrics in preparation for the quarterly advisory board meeting. By the end of the day youve made meaningful progress across multiple HR areas while maintaining accurate documentation and providing excellent service to our team members. You step out a bit early for a doctors appointment easily making up the time later thanks to our flexible work arrangements.

This HR Generalist position is a hybrid role based in our Spokane Washington office. Youll typically work 23 days in the office each week with the remainder remote. We value the inperson connection that happens in our Spokane location where youll collaborate directly with the team and be part of our inoffice company culture! The role requires candidates to be based in the Spokane area (or willing to relocate note that relocation assistance is not provided).
