Job Description
How Youll Make an Impact
- You lead and architect the operation of our managed software platform across Azure and customer environments establishing operational standards and best practices
- You own and evolve our Infrastructure as Code strategy including the modernization of our Terraform and Helm codebases implementing advanced deployment patterns and security controls
- You spearhead automation initiatives identifying opportunities for improvement and driving the implementation of new technologies and methodologies
- You serve as a key technical leader in our Information Security strategy architecting secure infrastructure patterns and ensuring compliance with security requirements across our platform
- You design and implement Azure reference architectures focusing on scalability resilience and security while optimizing operational costs
- You collaborate with development teams as a technical advisor providing infrastructure design guidance and mentoring on cloudnative best practices
- You establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity processes ensuring high availability of critical systems
Our Team
- You will join a tightknit team of four within the operations group passionate about technology and building a rocksolid foundation for the company to thrive on using state of the art tools such as Kubernetes Terraform and Sonarqube
- With significant autonomy we have the freedom to get things done the right way and shape the organization as we grow
- Our work is primarily remote agile and always focused on continuous improvement. Every few months we hold a joint workshop in our Munich office.
- Also it does help if you have a pretty good sense of humor
What Were Looking For
- You have a degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
- You bring 46 years of handson experience in infrastructure engineering and cloud architecture with a strong background in modern DevOps practices
- You demonstrate deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code particularly with Terraform at scale and advanced knowledge of Kubernetes/Helm in production environments
- You have extensive experience architecting and managing complex cloud infrastructure with particular depth in Azure and its enterprise features
- You possess advanced knowledge of CI/CD practices and GitLab including pipeline optimization security scanning and advanced deployment strategies
- You have excellent communication skills in both English and German (at least B2 in both languages C1/C2 preferred)
- You stay current with cloudnative technologies and security best practices evaluating their potential impact on our infrastructure
