We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Visual / UI Designer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to grow their skills and contribute to the design of our digital products.
As an intermediate Visual / UI designer you will help enhance Maersks digital products with a stunning usable accessible UI. Collaborating with and across teams of product managers designers and engineers your focus will be developing highquality elegant and consistent designs that make our digital products intuitive and efficient.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Follow best practices in layout typography visual hierarchy data visualization accessibility in digital interface design across multiple platforms and screen sizes.
- Create visually appealing and consistent designs aligned with the brands visual identity and design system.
- Ensure that the interactions are intuitive and enhance the overall user experience.
- Innovate and iterate on wireframes prototypes and highfidelity designs with insights from our senior design team.
- Conduct usability testing to gather feedback on the design and identify areas for improvement.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing results.
- Actively participate in design reviews providing input and learning from experienced team members.
- Work with other designers and engineers to expand improve and support our design system and component library.
- Create and maintain design documentation including design specifications and style guides.
- Review feasibility of designs and hand designs over to developers guiding developers until the final product accurately matches the designs.
- Organize design assets and files to facilitate collaboration with the development team.
- Stay updated on design trends tools and industry best practices.
- Embrace continuous learning and skill enhancement in digital design.
Lets talk about you...
- Youre Experienced with 3 years working as a Visual Design or UI Designer and a portfolio showcasing wellcrafted design. Experience with enterprise products is a plus.
- Youre Educated holding a Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Graphic Design Visual Communication HumanComputer Interaction or a related field. You know current design trends usability principles and best practices.
- Youre a Design Expert you understand design systems foundational digital patterns and accessibility in design. You have excellent creativity and visual skills and a keen eye for detail. Youre proficient in design and prototyping tools we use Figma.
- Youre Tidy you have experience developing documenting and implementing a cohesive visual language ideally you have experience creating a design system. Your attention to detail is exceptional.
- Youre UserFocused. You leverage the opinions of how users will use the product and what problem they might run into. Subsequently resulting in design changes based on this usercentered focus.
- Youre Convincing. You demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and gather feedback.
- Youre Proactive. You are selfmotivated and willing to explore new territory and challenges; you have a passion for delivering highquality quickly; and you enjoy working at a fast pace managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.
- Youre Collaborative. You enjoy collaborating with learning from and teaching others so we all can become better. You treat your colleagues with honesty kindness and respect and actively do your part to create a positive work environment.
