SKILLS
- Abilityto handle several processes concurrently.
- Abilityto effectively deal with a wide range of personalities technical and supportstaff.
- Knowledgeof Medical terminology.
EXPERIENCE
- 1year of phlebotomy experience and demonstrated proficiency in the phlebotomy field.
EDUCATION
- Requirescompletion of High School or Equivalent and Certificate of completion inPhlebotomy or Medical Assisting or a phlebotomy course as part of an associateor bachelor degree program such as nursing.
LICENSURE CERTIFICATIONS orREGISTRATION
- AValid and Current Drivers License and clean drivers record per NSMC policywhich will be reviewed annually during employees employment.
SUMMARY
Underthe direction of the Phlebotomy Coordinator(s) the Operations Manager and thePhlebotomy Manager Phlebotomists perform a variety of support services to thelaboratory and provide phlebotomy services for all clients. Depending on thearea in which an individual is assigned for his/her shift the responsibilitiesvary.
