Job Description
At Home Veterinary seeks an experienced veterinary technician who is energetic fun friendly organized and attentive to detail with experience restraining and working with animals for medical procedures. This position is a fastpaced job with tons of direct interaction with pets and owners in their homes. You will work sidebyside with a friendly and experienced veterinarian.
We are a busy veterinary practice that specializes in house calls for dogs and cats. We provide highquality and compassionate care for our patients and professional conciergelevel service for our clients all in the clients homes in the greater Boston and MetroWest area.
Schedule and Location
The schedule is Monday through Friday though occasionally you will swap and work a weekend day to help cover a team members time off.
Monday through Wednesday you will begin and end your day in Holliston. Thursday and Friday you will be based in our office in Natick. You also will occasionally assist other veterinarians on our team based in Boston and surrounding towns.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Three days a week you will spend your day riding along with the veterinarian and assisting at all appointments. In particular youll help hold animals for procedures (including exams blood draws urine collection etc. and assist the vet with all other aspects of the visit (preparing vaccines reviewing records entering notes and charges in the computer interacting with clients etc.. Previous veterinary experience is important! The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician.
Two days a week you will join our customer support team in our business office in Natick where you will assist clients and other team members by phone and email.
Strong computer skills as well as fast and accurate typing are important qualifications.
