The Manager Supply Chain manages the flow of goods resources and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve hospital goals and performance key performance indicators. Working under limited supervision this role supports all areas of Operative Services to identify plan and implement operational and cost improvements in order to keep the department and hospitals operating at optimal efficiency.
Responsibilities
Oversees the efficient and timely procurement of supplies capital quality customer service staff development and budgetary forecasting. Manages and directs all aspects of operating room inventory to ensure successful patient visits. Supervises supplier operational metrics and reporting to identify and evaluate their ability to meet hospital demand. Develops sourcing and negotiation strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers. Supervises and implements strategies to help team members improve forecasting accuracy and analyzes forecast to performance. Coordinates annual capital equipment purchases along with identifying and removing excess and obsolete capital equipment with leadership in order to reduce costs. Supervises the facilitation and negotiation of contracts with vendors and respective departments. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate degree
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 7 years of experience in Healthcare Materials Management
