Job Description
Location: Durban South Africa
Industry: Chemicals
RPO Recruitments client in the chemicals industry are currently seeking a Shift Supervisor to join their team in Durban and oversee daily operations in their facility.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of production operators on a specific shift
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with safety quality and efficiency standards
- Train and mentor production operators on proper procedures and safety protocols
- Troubleshoot equipment and processes to minimize downtime and optimize production output
- Collaborate with maintenance quality control and plant management teams to improve production processes
- Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding safety quality and compliance
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- 3 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of chemical production processes and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a chemical manufacturing setting
