Job Description
The Staff Accountant will manage accounts payables assist with performing monthly P&L and balance sheet generation assist processing of monthly accruals allocations revenue reconciliations and perform other projects as necessary. This individual should have strong knowledge of the general ledger and its relationship with the various sub ledgers as well as a strong understanding of monthly accruals related to payroll and other expenses. This is a longterm position with potential for growth as the finance and accounting department grows along with this dynamic company.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(Duties may include but not limited to all or some of the following)
- Assist with management of accounts payables
- Assist Senior Accountant in review and preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements
- Assist with processing of expense reports
- Analysis of chargeback items including travel and other miscellaneous expenses including review and correction of variances
- Assist with cash reconciliation
- Assist with review and check postings from various modules including accounts payable accounts receivable fixed assets and expense management to determine accuracy
- Monthly reconciliations revenue A/R bank etc.
- Assist with recording month end related journal entries
- Special projects as assigned
- other duties as assigned under job duties/responsibilities
Qualifications:
The candidate should have the following requirements as a minimum for the position:
- Bachelors Degree in accounting finance or related field of study and work experience in the accounting field.
- Must be detailoriented.
- 26 years of relevant work experience health care industry would be a plus.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically excel) and Quickbooks.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of information.
- Demonstration of the ability to work in a teamoriented environment.
- Must be capable of functioning with flexibility in assignments.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communications.
Required education & Experience:
- Bachelors (CPA is a plus)
- Accounting: 13 years
Physical Demands:
Required to stand walk sit talk and hear; required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment; must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs; specific vision requirements for this job include: close distance and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position without compromising patient care.
