The candidate will be the project manager of a systems immunology database. Duties will include antibody staining fluorescent activated cell sorting RNA extraction and subsequent data entry of samples into a systems immunology database. Job Duties:Under the direction of the principal investigator and/or a research fellow the applicant independently carries out daily activities of the laboratory. Performs assays utilizing standard techniques (antibody staining flow cytometry DNA/RNA extraction and analysis standard and quantitative PCR) Cell/tissue processing culture and maintenance Independently performs routine and nonroutine experiments which are moderate to complex Ensures quality control of equipment reagents and cellular components Participates in ongoing quality control/assurance programs Ordering and inventory of laboratory supplies Detailed documentation of the experimental work Regular maintenance cataloging and backup of experimental data files The position has potential for paid formal training opportunities through employer (e.g. phlebotomy statistics excel access etc. Qualifications: BS/BA required 35 years experience Excellent organizational skills and excellent attention to detail Experience with flow cytometry RNA isolation Excellent documentation skills Ability to perform work independently Must have good interpersonal skills Some occasional weekend or evening flexibility may be required Computer experience is essential 2 year commitment preferred
