Job Description
The Project Coordinator in the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) at Virginia Tech provides executivelevel coordination across a diverse portfolio of academic programs strategic initiatives and special projects reporting directly to the School Director. This role serves as a key partner in the development and management of Executive Masters Programs Continuing Professional Education the Washington Experience Summer Programs and SPIA graduate certificates ensuring alignment with institutional goals and emerging needs within SPIA.
The Project Coordinator plays a central role in program implementation with responsibilities spanning project planning financial analysis event coordination marketing and enrollment strategy. This includes developing financial models and scenario planning to support strategic decisionmaking assisting with curriculum implementation and program accreditation and coordinating operational logistics for new and existing programs. The Project Coordinator also leads outreach and enrollment management for SPIAs graduate certificate programs and serves as a liaison with university offices to ensure compliance and efficient program delivery.
Additionally the Project Coordinator manages the Ridenour Faculty Fellowship Endowment (RFFE) overseeing program planning and relationship management with faculty students and external partners.The role supports the of highimpact events and special projects that enhance SPIAs academic community foster collaboration and increase the schools visibility.
This position may be based in either Blacksburg VA or Arlington VA depending on the candidates preference and institutional needs. As SPIA operates across both campuses the role will require regular collaboration with faculty staff and partners in each location. Occasional travel between campuses is anticipated to support inperson programming events and strategic coordination.
