Cordia Resources has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced experienced Project Accountant with a strong background in Deltek Costpoint 8.1 to manage project financials monitor budgets and ensure accurate cost tracking across multiple government and/or commercial contracts. This role requires exceptional attention to detail a solid understanding of GAAP and FAR regulations and the ability to work crossfunctionally with program managers and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain financial oversight of multiple projects from setup through closeout using Costpoint 8.1
Set up projects work breakdown structures (WBS) and billing structures in accordance with contract requirements
Monitor project budgets actual costs funding and profitability
Prepare and review project invoices to ensure compliance with contract terms (T&M CPFF FFP etc.)
Perform revenue recognition and ensure timely monthend and yearend close processes
Support audits and provide necessary documentation for internal external and government audits
Reconcile project accounts and analyze variances
Collaborate with Project Managers to review financial performance and projections
Prepare financial reports and adhoc analyses for internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
35 years of experience in project accounting preferably in a government contracting environment
Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint 8.1 is required
Strong knowledge of GAAP FAR and CAS regulations
Experience with indirect rate application and project billing
Strong Excel skills and analytical capabilities
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
