Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of parttime Direct Support Professional for their residential services division. JCDS serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We focus on individuals abilities provide choice driven supports and advocate alongside people to live and work in our community. We aspire to build a community that promotes supports and embraces people of all abilities. Direct Support Professionals are responsible for the delivery of services with JCDS. Initial review of candidates will begin April 15 2025. Periodic review of candidates will occur until June 30 2025.
Minimum Job Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalentis required and one year of related experience working in a human services field is preferred. A valid drivers license and good driving record are required.
This position requires performance of various physical components at defined standards for the safety of employees and individuals served.
Candidate must be able to successfully complete criminal and motor vehiclebackground screenings which includes KDADS required screenings and registry checksand a post offer TB test.
This position will require the use of a personal vehicle to transport clients.
Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
