What Youll Do
As a key member of the Riverside Services maintenance division youll:
- Operate a parking lot sweeper truck to clean and maintain parking lots driveways and other outdoor commercial areas.
- Ensure the truck is functioning properly and report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
- Monitor and clean all areas as directed ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Safely and efficiently navigate parking lots working around vehicles debris and obstacles.
- Manage the proper disposal of debris and trash collected during the sweeping process.
- Complete daily reports to document work completed and any issues encountered during the shift.
- Ensure the equipment is thoroughly cleaned and properly stored at the end of each shift.
What It Takes to Succeed
- 3 years of experience operating sweeper trucks or similar outdoor maintenance equipment.
- A valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- A valid DOT card (or the ability to get one quickly).
- Comfort working overnight shifts and in changing outdoor conditions.
- Confidence working independently and staying on task without supervision.
- Knowledge of basic truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail safety and cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs sit for long periods and work outdoors.
Youll Stand Out If You Also Bring:
- Experience with multiple types of sweeping equipment.
- Familiarity with outdoor maintenance best practices and safety guidelines.
