RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use supplied tools equipment and safety instructions.
- Strive towards apprentice goal attainment and certifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with site policies.
- Possess the ability to understand schematics and technical manuals
- Assist the Electrician which may involve doing basic tasks such as handling the tools and it may also involve working independently from the Electrician at times on electrical tasks that require less skill or experience
- Collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and solve problems.
- Complete electrical wiring tasks alignment adjustments and calibration of equipment following manuals schematics diagrams blueprints and equipment specifications.
- Use educational training for learning all procedures for installing and maintaining electrical systems as well as local and federal regulations and safety requirements.
- Assists with and completes maintenance work orders on electrical equipment. This includes testing malfunctioning equipment identifying defects troubleshooting repairing equipment and replacing defective parts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 26 years of electrical contracting experience.
- Previous apprentice experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical codes.
- Have basic health and safety awareness.
- Timekeeping reliability ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to undertake formal training relating to successful achievement of apprenticeship.
- Flexibility with regards to the work location hours of work and duties
