Project Coordinator Competition

FullTime Term with a possibility of extension

Housing and Infrastructure

Open Until Filled


Position Summary

The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the timely of goals objectives and tasks related to housing and infrastructure initiatives for First Nations in Manitoba. This role involves strategic planning work plan management and project monitoring to achieve positive outcomes. The coordinator will work closely with the project team to meet milestones draft options and recommendations and ensure the smooth progression of activities.


Key Responsibilities

Develop and structure the planning and scheduling of various projects initiatives and tasks within the housing and infrastructure sectors.
Monitor project processes and benchmarks providing regular updates to the supervisor and project staff to ensure timely progress.

  • Maintain and update work plans task lists and benchmarks as directed by management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and offer support to meet timesensitive deadlines.
  • Assist in developing highlevel documentation including strategies discussion and position papers.
  • Apply knowledge of project management principles to ensure effective coordination and of tasks.
  • Maintain an understanding of housing and infrastructure issues specific to First Nations.
  • Adhere to office policies and procedures and confidentiality agreements; and
    Perform any other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate or Bachelors/Graduate degree in Social Science Education Communications or related fields is considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 35 years of proven experience in managing various projects with a demonstrated ability to apply best practices.
  • Strong time management and resource management skills.
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of First Nations policies and political issues in Housing and Infrastructure would be an asset.
  • Reliable trustworthy and dependable.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to follow office procedures practices and confidentiality.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office software including Word Excel and Outlook.
  • Adhere to AMC policies and procedures with specific attention to attendance and professional ethics.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 drivers license and a reliable vehicle.
    Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check Clear Child Abuse Registry Checks.
