Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Duties of the position include: shortterm individual group and couples therapy psychological assessment crisis intervention consultation outreach and psychoeducational workshops (sometimes after hours) clinical supervision and training case management as needed liaison/consultant relationships and rotating after hours emergency/crisis on call responsibilities as backup to ProtoCall. The position includes some administrative duties and roles based on interest areas and desired areas of specialization. Specializations are flexible based on interest and could be in areas such as: Sports Psychology Supervision and Training Diversity and Multicultural Focus Eating Disorders Behavioral Health Consulting Treatment of Trauma Administration and Leadership Or an individualized specialization may be developed. The PostDoctoral / PostMasters Resident position is a oneyear position.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology or related field or Masters Degree in Counseling Social Work or related field and eligibility for appropriate licensure in North Carolina. Please Note: The successful candidate will be expected to make application for licensure at the start of employment and maintain any licensure status for the continuation of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
1. For doctoral applicants APA approved training for both academic and internship preparation. 2.Experience in a university counseling center or demonstrated interest in providing the full range of psychological services offered by the Counseling Center. Candidates should also be committed to a proactive student development perspective involving an active relationship with the campus community; be teamoriented and collaborative with students colleagues and university staff; and have broad generalist clinical skills in assessing and intervening with a wide range of disorders concerns and degrees of pathology.
