High School diploma required.
1 3 years direct experience in Inventory Control or the equivalent as determined by the Department Head.
Computer experience MS Word Excel Spreadsheets etc.

The job involves a large amount of time spent walking and standing.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Responsible for departmental function during the absence of the Asset Inventory Manager.
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Responsibilities involve a comprehensive knowledge of the role of the OR/CSS Departments function in Inventory Control. The scope of judgment involves decision making to carry out the goals of the department within the area of Inventory Control and Cost Containment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Will be responsible for obtaining a thorough understanding of the Hospital Inventory Systems (PeopleSoft BICS) and their interrelationships with OR/CSS.
2.Responsible for working on a daily basis with the Asset Inventory Manager to ensure coordination integrity and stability of the OR/CSS Asset Inventory as it relates to adding new items deleting items product increases volume increases etc.
3.Will be responsible for procurement storage and record keeping of an asset inventory in excess of $7 million.
4. Responsible for procurement storage and record keeping of human tissue in the OR Tissue Bank.
5.Will enforce hospital policies relating to safety and job performance.
6.Will submit reports and research as required to assist the Asset Inventory Manager.
7.Will maintain all files relating to departmental purchases and supply requisitions as well as coordinating pending receiving and close out files.
8.Participates in internal department management meetings and will be responsible to gather facts present documentation or perform other tasks related to the development of procedures or programs relating to inventory.
9.Responsible for communicating with departmental personnel initiating purchase requests and daily requisitions as to changes in inventory procedures and supplies.
10.Will participate in the departmental quality control program.
11.Will communicate information regarding back ordered supplies on a daily basis.
12.Will assume the responsibilities of a supply clerk when needed as determined by the Asset Inventory Manager
