UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Hospitalist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient care to a diverse patient population including adults. This position requires excellent clinical skills strong communication abilities and a commitment to delivering highquality patientcentered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct medical care to hospitalized patients including diagnosis treatment and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including nurses specialists and support staff to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
Manage patient care from admission through discharge including conducting rounds ordering and interpreting tests and developing treatment plans.
Maintain clear and effective communication with patients families and other healthcare providers.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR) systemEPIC
Provide consultative services to other physicians and healthcare professionals as needed.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of hospital policies and protocols.
Mentor and educate medical students residents and other healthcare professionals.
Who You Are:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
Must hold or be eligible for an active medical license and DEA in Massachusetts.
Previous experience as a hospitalist or in a similar role is preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Strong clinical skills proficiency in inpatient care and familiarity with hospitalbased electronic medical records (EMR).
Excellent communication teamwork and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple patients effectively.
Available to work fulltime with a rotating schedule that may include days nights weekends and holidays
