  • Position type: 0.6 FTE 22.8 hours per week)
  • Contract: 14month maximum term contract with opportunity to extend
  • Location: Ringwood Victoria (Hybrid working available)
  • Reports to: Head of Corporate Services

  • SCHADS pay point 7.1

About the Role

Brave is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional to join our team at an exciting time as we implement our new 5year strategy. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing HR strategies processes and initiatives that support Braves mission.

This standalone handson role involves a mix of strategic HR planning and operational HR functions including performance management employee relations compliance with the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award WHS and HR administration.

You will work closely with the CEO senior leadership and people managers to foster a positive highperforming and compliant workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Planning Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with Braves mission and objectives.

Talent Acquisition & Management Lead recruitment onboarding retention strategies workforce planning and capability development.

Performance Management Support people managers in goal setting coaching and performance reviews.

Compliance & Legal Ensure compliance with SCHADS Award and employment laws; mitigate HR risks and manage employee relations matters.

Child Safe HR Practice Embed child safety into recruitment onboarding and performance processes in line with Braves obligations as a Child Safe Organisation.

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Lead WHS compliance training audits and promote a proactive safety culture.

HR Systems & Administration Oversee Employment Hero (HRIS) prepare HR metrics and engagement surveys and support payroll processing.

Culture & Wellbeing Champion Braves values by driving inclusion diversity employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.

Change Management Support organisational change by applying bestpractice HR strategies.

What Were Looking For

Bachelors degree in human resources or a related field.

Substantial experience in a similar People & Culture or HR generalist role preferably in the notforprofit or community services sector.

Comfortable operating in a standalone HR role balancing bigpicture planning with handson delivery across all HR functions

Strong knowledge of employment laws workplace relations and the SCHADS Award.

Proficiency in HRIS platforms particularly Employment Hero and Culture Amp.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders including the CEO and senior leadership team.

Proven ability to foster a culture of inclusion diversity and wellbeing ensuring alignment with Brave Foundations values and mission.

Empathetic approachable and committed to employee wellbeing and engagement

A strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and organisational performance.

A high level of integrity discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive HR matters.
