About
The Department of Environmental Medicine and Climate Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Environmental Epidemiology. The selected applicant will conduct data analyses investigating the effects of early life exposures (including but not limited to air pollution metals and psychosocial stress) on biomarkers of oxidative stress and respiratory outcomes in adolescence. Additionally the candidate will have the opportunity to work on a multitude of other projects pertaining to child development in Low and MiddleIncome Countries. Additional opportunities to work on the impact of developmental exposures are also available. The research fellows will be working within the EMCS Department and the Institute of Exposomic Research.
Eligible candidates may be supported by the T32 Postdoctoral Research Training Program in Environmental Pediatrics (T32HD049311.

- Conduct data analysis investigating the effects of environmental exposures
- Publishoriginalresearchinpeerreviewedjournals.
- Seek additional funding from NIH NSF and other organizations.
- Attend study meetings occasionally present research in progress reports.
- Supervise and collaborate with graduate students on their research.
Qualifications
Requirements
A doctoral degree (e.g. PhD MD) is required. Additional qualifications include:
- PhD or DrPH in epidemiology biostatistics environmental health sciences quantitative risk assessment or other quantitative related fields.
- Strong training in biostatistics and epidemiological methods.
- Strong programming skills in R Stata SPSS and/or SAS (R preferred).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and trackrecord of peerreviewed publications.
