Our customers are universities and high schools and in most cases were working with staff in the alumni relations and fundraising office at these institutions. The value prop for them at a high level is simple Engage more alumni and raise more money from them. 90 of our customers are from the US currently but were starting sales in UK and Canada this year so well start to see some more customer regions this year. Our team is based in India and the USA. The India team is based in Bangalore and the US team is fully remote.
Almabase is looking to hire an Intern Technical Content Writer. In this role your goal is to contribute to our knowledge base production guides and other instructional content that simplifies complex product features for our users.

Write and maintain clear engaging and structured content including: Knowledge base articles
Stepbystep product guides FAQs and troubleshooting documentation for new and existing features Internal process documentation
Ensure accuracy and clarity by collaborating with product and customer support teams. Optimize content for readability engagement and SEO.
Track and analyze knowledge base performance (views engagement etc..
Help improve AIgenerated responses in our support tools.
Must have skills:
Strong writing and communication skills. Ability to break down technical concepts into simple userfriendly content.
012 months of freelancing experience in writing guides documentation or instructional content (even personal projects or coursework count!.
Good to have skills:
Familiarity with content tools like Notion Canva Loom or similar (preferred).
Interest in the SaaS industry and a willingness to learn.
Month 1: Onboarding & KB Audit
Get familiar with the product KB structure and documentation tools.
Shadow Support & Customer Education teams to understand customer queries.
Conduct an audit of existing KB articles to identify outdated or missing information.
Make minor updates (e.g. UI changes broken links).
Month 2: Writing & Updating KB Articles
Work on KB updates based on audit findings.
Start writing new KB articles for missing information.
Ensure articles are structured for AI readability and selfservice use.
Get feedback from the team and refine writing skills.
Month 3: AI Alignment & KB Optimization
Test how AI retrieves responses from KB and improve content structure.
Optimize hightraffic KB articles for better searchability & clarity.
Work on tagging and metadata for improved discovery.
Address common gaps in KB affecting AI performance.
Month 4: Keeping Up with Product Updates
Attend product update meetings and document changes before release.
Take ownership of updating KB for new product features.
Establish a KB update calendar to track ongoing changes.
Implement a process for proactive KB maintenance.
Month 5: Performance Analysis & SelfService Improvements
Analyze KB usage data to identify weak spots.
Improve topviewed articles based on AI & customer feedback.
Conduct usability tests by having peers follow KB guides.
Work on a miniproject to enhance a key KB section.
Month 6: Final Refinements & Handoff
Conduct a final KB audit to ensure accuracy.
Document a guide for future KB updates.
Present key learnings & recommendations to the team.
Wrap up and transition work to ensure continuity.
This is a hybrid role and you will be expected to work from 10 AM to 6 PM (IST) with flexibility in working hours.
