Who are we looking for
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Dams Engineer to join our Dams and Tunnels team in our Melbourne office. With a focus on Dam Safety & Risk Assessment youll play a key role in evaluating the safety of major dams throughout Australia and supporting the implementation of riskbased measures to support our clients in managing their dam safety risks.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Providing specialised technical services to clients on a diverse range of damrelated projects including feasibility studies design and construction support for new build and improvement projects.
- Leading dam safety surveillance activities for a range of Australias major dam owners.
- Leading the safety evaluation of existing dams spillways embankments and related structures; as well as performing dam safety risk assessments and identifying risk mitigation strategies.
- Contributing to the design of major dam safety upgrade projects.
- Managing damrelated projects including budgeting scheduling and client communication.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff on dam engineering principles and current practices.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their needs providing specialist advice and building lasting relationships.
What you will bring to the team
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field coupled with 7 years of experience in a similar role ideally within a consulting environment
- Experience across a range of projects related to dams and engineering projects and preferably with experience across the civil infrastructure
- Excellent project management skills.
- Exceptional problemsolving and analytical abilities.
- Experience with investigation and construction phase services as well as an understanding of dam safety management practices and guidelines.
