Job Description
As the Welder you are responsible for the various tasks such as the preparation welding and finishing of complex welded fabrications responsible for product quality. In your role you are responsible for the correct completion of complex welded fabrications. Every person counts at Marel. What you will be doing
Key elements of your role include:
- TIG Welding on stainless steel
- Selecting processing and welding of small or single unit production series or semifinished products mainly from stainless steel parts. All work is carried out in accordance with the designated welding techniques taking into account the required productivity levels and the set quality standards
- Set up and calibrate welding equipment in accordance with set procedures and technical drawings applicable quality standards and health safety and environmental regulations so that the work can be carried out in accordance with the company procedures
- Comply with supply lead times and standard times as set by the Team Leader
- Perform simple maintenance of tools and instruments. Larger maintenance issues are escalated to the Team Leader
- Safe and certified operation of industrial equipment as needed (crane and/or tie loads)
- Check parts for presence dimensions and quality
What we are looking for
- Problemsolving; approaches difficulties with innovative insight and ability to apply technical expertise to work
- Resultdriven to and focused on meeting customer expectations and fulfilling quality standards
- Punctuality; ability to keep to schedules follow instructions legal obligations and safety requirements
- Secondary education in a relevant technical field adhering to local legal requirements
- Welding certificate; TIG or equivalent adhering to local legal requirements
- Experience of welding and welding technology
- Operational knowledge of the relevant software and ability to read technical drawings
- Ability to lift upwards of 50lbs stand and bend repeatedly
