Ellison 12 is a 36bed unit devoted to the care of the acutely ill medical patient. The patient population on this unit includes a diverse mix of medical diagnoses requiring complex nursing care.
Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN)the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists the multidisciplinary health careteam in clinical support functions to promote a safe compassionate patientcare environment. PCA assists multidisciplinary health care team by assistingpatients with daily living needs monitoring & reading vital signs drawingblood obtaining EKGs.
Current CNAcertificate for Massachusetts and previous experience preferably in an acutecare setting.
Effective customer service orientation and theability to interact with diverse groups of patients staff and providers.
Demonstrated ability to solve basic patientand practice problems using a combination of strong interpersonal andcommunication skills attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
Ability to lift and transport patients usingthe appropriate physical technique in a safe manner for the patient and self.
