You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAn opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant responsible for the management accounting function in a division of an organisation. Includes planning budgets and forecasts interpreting financial results management reporting systems development and reporting.
1. Financial Reporting:
o Prepare and present monthly quarterly and annual management reports.
o Analyse financial performance and provide insights to management.
o Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Develop and manage budgets for various departments and projects.
o Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis.
o Manage weekly flash reporting
o Collaborate with department heads to ensure budget adherence.
3. Cost Management:
o Monitor and control operational costs including fuel maintenance and labour.
o Conduct costbenefit analysis and identify costsaving opportunities.
o Implement cost control measures and track their effectiveness.
o Manage monthly stock takes and fuel dips
4. Compliance and Audit:
o Support the Head Office in ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations.
o Collaborate with the Head Office during internal audits and help address any discrepancies or issues
o Ensure company policies are adhered to
o Manage fixed asset verifications with relevant managers/departments
5. Financial Analysis:
o Analyse financial data to support strategic decisionmaking.
o Prepare financial models and perform scenario analysis.
o Provide recommendations based on financial analysis.
o Monitor and analyse contract performance vs Costing and Budget/Forecasts
6. Accounts Management:
o Oversee accounts receivable processes.
o Ensure timely and accurate billing.
o Manage accruals GRN and open PO
o Oversight on balance sheet recons for the region and assist in resolving queries
7. Stakeholder Communication:
o Communicate financial performance and insights to senior management.
o Collaborate with internal/external auditors tax advisors and regulatory bodies.
o Provide financial training and support to other departments.
Minimum qualification: 4year Degree / NQF level 7
Experience in a similar role: Up to 5 years
Detail orientated and analytical in nature
Open and flexible operating style with high transparency
Selfmotivated with strong organizational and time management skills
Must be able to work under pressure and after hours from time to time
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Capability to supervise and lead admin staff
Must be deadline driven
HandsOn approach
Advanced computer skills on MS Office
Experience in Creditors/ debtors
