Correctional Officers are instrumental to the success of the operations in the Correctional Center. Work is handson and interactive with different opportunities of growth. Correctional Officers are responsible for the supervision safety and security of inmates and the correctional center itself.
The Correctional Officer position offers a great staring wage of $24.25 per hour.
No experience necessary just your willingness to learn. We have full training that will teach you everything that you need to know. As a Correctional Officer you would be expected to carry out procedures and activities to ensure the security and wellbeing of persons being held in the Grand Forks County Correctional Center.
Basic Requirements:
High school graduate or GED and at least 18 years of age.
Ability to pass a thorough background investigation including a medical and drug/alcohol screening.
Knowledge of dealing with people multitasking legalities of restricted environment ability to successful pass licensing for Correctional Officer Certificate and maintain a valid drivers license.
Must have availability to work rotating shifts including days nights and weekends.

STATUS AND HOURS: Fulltime benefit eligible based on a 40 hours per week. 12.25 hours shifts days evenings and rotating shifts available. Day shift is from 6:45 am to 7:00 pm. Evening shift is from 6:45 pm to 7:00 am. Rotating shifts switch from days to evenings every 28 days. Option to be fulltime evening shift after completion of training.
