Education and/or Experience
Required:
- Must possess high school diploma or equivalency.
- Must possess certification of one of the following: IAHCSMM CBSPD or Surgical Technology.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments sterile processing and OR logistics and scheduling.
- 2 Years experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
Preferred:
- Diploma in surgical technology nursing or related healthcare field.
- 2 Years of leadership experience.

Team Leaders in SPD are responsible for a variety of functions within the Instrument Room. This position is responsible for prioritizing employee production inventory and coordinating activities associated with a specific service line clinics Operating Room Needs Lists. The Team Leader is responsible for maintaining workflows in the following areas:
Prep and Pack
Decontamination
Sterilization
