Want to utilize your flow cytometry skills as an inhouse technical subject matter expert and resource As a Flow Cytometry Specialist within the Research & Development (R&D) department you will be responsible for independently managing and maintaining the flow cytometry facilities in the R&D lab for internal clients.In this role you will be integral for developing and administering STEMCELLs comprehensive R&D lab skills training curriculum providing education and training to other lab staff. You will also serve as a valued technical resource assisting in troubleshooting of assay and instrument performance and monitoring and establishing continuous quality improvement.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a dedicated inhouse flow cytometry expert and resource particularly for complex analysis and provide technical assistance and guidance
Provide an operatorassisted FACS service to support R&D team projects and train frequent users to operate the sorter as well as host internal training and external seminars on flow cytometry
Generate and implement standard operating procedures and technical best practices including standardized sample preparation staining analysis protocols and consult on design of flow cytometry panels
Run quality control assessments on lab instruments; work with the equipment team to maintain the operation and performance of the equipment and manage service providers for repairs and regular preventative maintenance
Work with Procurement on providing requirements and negotiating with suppliers for the purchase of flow cytometry instruments and service contracts
Knowledge and Qualifications
4 years of demonstrated independent flow cytometry expertise from a combination of advanced degrees and/or work experience
Ability to apply analytical thinking to independently troubleshoot equipment and propose solutions with a customer service mentality
Training experience in small and large group settings and knowledge of effective training methods is highly desirable
Relevant flow cytometry training certification and experience in GxP expectations 21 CFR part 11 compliance documentation audits etc. is preferred

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:
$78640.00 $118000.00STEMCELL determines an individuals pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience education jobrelated skills and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits retirement savings and more.
