The Subscriber Planning team within DTC Finance is a highly visible team of professionals with backgrounds in consulting investment banking private equity media & entertainment and technology. This team serves as inhouse advisers to the TWDCs DTC executive leadership team and own the subscriber engagement and revenue growth planning functions. The teams activities and accomplishments have contributed directly to the rapid growth and success of the Disneys suite of streaming services: Disney Hulu and ESPN.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Analyst that will play a key role in growing our directtoconsumer business with a focus on Subscriber Planning for the United States and Canada. This Analyst will support the subscriber forecasting process through thorough analysis of business trends and forecast model development and improvement. They will provide subscriber variance transparency through regular reporting to Subscriber Planning leadership and support the evaluation of strategic initiatives. Workstreams include but are not limited to modeling the impacts of new product offerings developing and tracking KPIs to drive monitoring performance of the service and more. They will also collaborate closely with stakeholders from Hulu ESPN Data & Analytics Marketing Business Operations and Executive Reporting.

The right person for this role has phenomenal analytical skills experience working with large data sets and building complex financial models sets a high bar for themselves and displays initiative in anticipating and exceeding the business demands of the key stakeholders. This role will be datafocused responsible for sharing business insights providing strategic recommendations and influencing key operational decisions.

The pace of change at Disneys DTC businesses necessitates an ability to manage multiple projects collaborate with a range stakeholders and roll up sleeves to support this important segment of the Disney business.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Manage and enhance the Domestic Subscriber forecast process & key underlying assumptions with a focus on the Disneys DTC bundles (with Hulu ESPN and Max)

  • Lead and support strategic ad hoc analysis to highlight KPI trends opportunities / risks to plan size new product offerings etc

  • Develop impactful compelling presentation materials (decks notes writeups backup materials etc. that effectively communicate outlooks drivers business performance risks and opportunities to senior leadership

  • Act as a point of contact for operational support teams (Business Operations Data & Analytics Executive Reporting Marketing Hulu & ESPN to name a few) and ensure alignment on key assumptions and understanding of KPIs

  • Move seamlessly between different research projects and analysis raised by team leaders to inform decisionmaking

Required Education Experience/Skills/Training:

  • Bachelors degree with a major in Finance Economics or similar discipline with an analytical focus

  • 0 2 years of strategy or finance experience with a media & entertainment firm management consultancy or investment bank / private equity firm

  • Strong analytical capabilities and financial modeling skills (MS Excel) including the ability to build models from scratch

  • Ability to work well in teams both within the group and also with other business units

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including PowerPoint) and ability to simplify complex matters for an executive audience

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects at the same time while keeping management properly informed

  • Familiarity with working in or with global large organizations is a plus

The hiring range for this position in New York NY is $82000.00 to $109800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidates geographic region jobrelated knowledge skills and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or longterm incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to the full range of medical financial and/or other benefits dependent on the level and position offered.
