Shift: We are looking for a highly qualified and careerminded Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work as a LPN in our 57 bed skilled nursing center. This is a fulltime position; 12 hour shifts three nights per week.
The Work:
Our LPNs provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the daytoday nursing activities performed by CNAs. Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Meeting with assigned nursing personnel to plan the shifts services programs and activities. Overseeing the activity of assigned nursing assistants
- Administration of professional nursing services and medication to residents. Ensuring residents receive services in accordance with their care plan
- Assisting with new admissions and discharges
- Consulting with residents family members and physicians in planning the residents care treatment and rehabilitation
- Medication administration
- Visiting residents to observe and evaluate their physical and emotional status.
- Notifying the attending physician and nextofkin when there is a change in the residents condition
- Reporting problem areas to the RN Supervisor or Clinical Director
- Floating to our Assisted Living if necessary
- Demonstrating excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times
