Job Description
- Patient careplan is carried out as directed.
- Patientphysical care is provided such as bed bath toileting grooming changing bedlinen etc. per established guidelines.
- Patientgeneral care is provided such as positioning lifting and turning and usingadaptive and transfer equipment per established guidelines.
- Patientmonitoring activities such as vital signs and blood glucose are performed perestablished guidelines.
- Patients areprepared for meals assisting when appropriate to meet patients need.
- Patient roundsare performed regularly and call lights are answered promptly to meet patientsneeds.
- Patient careis documented in a timely manner adhering to established standards.
- Patient roomclutter is organized to make best use of space and clean environment.
- Specimens areobtained and labeled consistent with established procedures.
- Mentoring andteaching is provided for new nursing assistants to meet performanceexpectations.
- Additionaldepartment organization or network activities are completed per establishedobjectives.
- PCCOrganizational Values of Innovation Collaboration Accountability Respectand Excellence are upheld.
- Graduate ofCNA training program required for Skilled Nursing Facilities and preferred forother PCC entities.
- High SchoolDiploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a nursingassistant preferred.
Skills(Specificlearned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills keyboardingpresentation CPR ACLS etc.
- Effective verbal electronic and writtencommunications skills using the English language.
- Computerproficiency required. Microsoft officeapplications preferred with ability to learn new software.
- Maintainvariable work schedule to meet department needs. (evenings and nightsholidays weekends and travel).
- Highlydeveloped communications and interpersonal skills working with diversepopulation.
- Work independentlybe selfdirected and contribute as a member of a team.
- Anticipateschallenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
- Highlevel of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritizework meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
