Job Description

About This Role:
As the Site Services Lead on our Engineering and Facilities team you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the condition and operational excellence of our facilities. Your primary responsibility will be managing the Site Services business ensuring that both the interior and exterior of our facilities comply with the highest standards of Quality Safety and cGMP. In this Senior Manager role you will lead a team of seasoned technical staff manage substantial contract responsibilities and serve as the point of contact for external stakeholders. With two direct reports under your wing and significant contract oversight your ability to strategize and coordinate operations will directly impact our ability to deliver customer satisfaction and uphold our strong safety record. This role is not only about leadership but also about innovation and continuous improvement as you will oversee the development of departmental workflows and support operational excellence across the site.

What Youll Do:

  • Lead and provide direction to your team ensuring alignment with the organizations overall goals.
  • Manage outsourced services including contract negotiations and supervise vendors and contractors in support of site services.
  • Develop and execute the Site Services business strategy establishing procedures that ensure safe compliant and reliable operations.
  • Act as the site representative during audits and inspections by regulatory agencies.
  • Manage the Preventative Maintenance plans and Work Orders related to Site Services responsibilities.
  • Propose and enact changes to systems and processes to enhance reliability labor utilization cost savings and safety.
  • Provide global leadership on facility cooperative processes and initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and support operational expenditures capital construction projects and equipment installations.
  • Be the key decisionmaker for the Site Services department making routine significant decisions autonomously.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining a responsive and customerfocused Site Services team.

Who You Are:
You are a strategic thinker with a knack for leadership adept at managing both people and complex projects. You have a talent for negotiation and a keen eye for detail ensuring that every aspect of our site services is delivered to the highest standards. Your experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry has honed your ability to work in regulated environments and you are comfortable making decisions that affect both operations and budgets. You bring a sense of ownership to your role with a proactive approach to problemsolving and a commitment to continuous improvement. You thrive in an environment where you can manage a diverse range of tasks and are motivated by the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our facilities and operations.


Qualifications :

  • BS degree in engineering facilities management environmental science or another related field.
  • 710 years experience in the biotechnology pharmaceutical or other regulated health care industries in an international business environment.
  • Indepth knowledge of site services environment and manufacturing operations in a Biopharma environment.
  • Experience managing large Opex/Capex budgets.
  • Proven experience with large contract oversight and external partner management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team with at least 2 direct reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage external stakeholders.
  • English B1.  
  • German fluent. 

Preferred Skills:

  • Strategic planning and within the site services domain.
  • Proficiency in continuous improvement practices and change management.
  • Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
