Job Description
Purpose and role of job:
Responsible for transactional and analytical support for general accounting and financial reporting processes reconciling balance sheet accounts and accounting/financial projects as assigned.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting monthly close activities including creation and entry of all general ledger journal entries and timely drafting of financial statements and related schedules.
- Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations.
- Responsible for the preparation coordination and documentation of financial analysis projects such as financial and expense performance rate of return depreciation and working capital.
- Participates in intercompany initiatives to enhance financial reporting strengthen standardization of financial processes and enhance policy documentation and internal controls.
- Provides analysis for forwardlooking financial and businessrelated projects. Prepares budgets/forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing sales finance general business conditions and other related areas.
- Provide financial support and analytics to a wide range of individuals and departments throughout the organization.
- Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project or leads projects.
- Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
Education and experience requirements:
- Requires a bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- MBA CPA and/or CMA preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in ERP systems such as SAP.
- Knowledge of US GAAP basic principles and elements of internal controls.
- Understanding of manufacturing accounting environment.
