Job Description

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the administrative/secretarial support to the Pain and Palliative Care Service under the Department of Medicine exercising independence judgment and experience to ensure the timely communication of information to and from the individuals and/or department. They are responsible for assisting with administrative support to establish an efficient working environment for the Pain and Palliative Care Service. Thisassignment will be 23 months in duration may be longer.

Bachelors or Associates Degree in secretarial sciences required. Five to ten years of secretarial or administrative assistant experience preferred; prior experience in healthcare preferred. (Other combinations of relevant experience/training will be considered. Demonstrate clear and direct verbal and written communication basic knowledge of billing and coding standards excellent administrative/secretarial skills ability to work independently wordprocessing and Microsoft applications (including Word Excel Power Point Access and Outlook Calendar) a plus.
