As a Software Engineer III Production Management Support Python at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Athena production management team youll be solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. You will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of supporting the Athena platform whilst acknowledging and respecting the software development lifecycle. Job Responsibilities :
- Work on some of the most complex problems at the intersection of two dynamic industries: finance and technology.
- Partner closely with our clients (LoBs) to understand their needs in order to shape the support roadmap.
- Interact with other highperforming teams to inspire innovation and champion change throughout the bank.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills :
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Linux administration and host performance tuning with Unix Shell Scripting.
- Good Knowledge of Python Bitbucket git source repository.
- Experience of Production management L1 Support.
- Experience in Postgres database.
- Proficiency in scripting languages to be able to support the live platform
- Understanding of ITIL Incident/Change/Problem Management.
- Understanding of Network. Load Balancing.
- Knowledge working with tools such as Nagios Grafana Service Now Datadog & splunk.
- Understanding of Cloud/AWS.
- Familiar with Jira project management tooling.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills :
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Problem solving skills natural inclination towards problem resolution. Ability to understand complex component/system/service interactions and look for causes and provide solutions.
- Selfdriven good initiatives and ability to think proactively.
- Experience working with global teams.
- Teamwork and cooperation Ability to gel and work in a team oriented environment.
- Good to have triaging skills.
Additional Information:
- Evening and weekend support is required remotely or onsite to cover one of the 2 shifts managed by the team APAC/EMEA.
