An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Housing Enabling Team as a Service Development Officer!
The Housing Enabling Team facilitates the delivery of a range of Affordable Homes to meet the needs of Wiltshires residents and is informed by highquality needs data ensuring an evidencebased approach.
As a Service Development Officer working both independently and alongside others you will play a vital role in providing evidence of need for Affordable Housing and supporting Housing Enabling colleagues in ensuring that Affordable Housing provision meets the needs of local communities. You will take a lead role in organising and undertaking our Rural Housing Needs Survey Programme including analysing needs data and writing the survey report and will liaise with Parish Councils and other community groups to assist them in identifying and meeting their own housing needs.
To succeed in this role it would be an advantage to have experience in delivering Affordable Housing and a knowledge and understanding of relevant planning policies and procedures. The role will involve quantitative analysis of primary and secondary data and will therefore require excellent analytical skills. Strong written and spoken communication skills will be essential.
This is a parttime post. Please note that the successful candidate will be required to attend team meetings on Wednesdays.
