This is a remote position.
The Small Works Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for smallscale projects ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. This role will require a strong understanding of the construction industry as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and identify potential challenges.
Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor materials equipment and overhead costs.
Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the best possible prices.
Present estimates to clients and answer any questions they may have.
Monitor project progress and ensure that costs are in line with estimates.
Prepare final reports and invoices.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in construction management engineering or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in the construction industry as an estimator.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry and estimating principles.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with estimating software.
