Alteryx is looking for a motivated and seasoned Senior Engineering Manager with a strong background in Machine Learning (ML) GenAI and cloudbased technologies. As part of the AI/ML Products group you will lead a highperforming team to build scalable distributed systems that form the layer of Alteryxs analytics cloud. Responsibilities:
- Lead the design development and deployment ofGenAI/ML solutions within the Advanced Analytics Org.
- Drive the technical strategy and roadmap aligning with product and business objectives.
- Collaborate with Product UX and crossfunctional engineering teams to define and deliver scalable AI/ML features.
- Manage mentor and grow a team of1518 engineers fostering technical excellence innovation and career development.
- Architect and implement distributed systems microservices and eventdriven architectures to supportGenAI/ML solutions.
- Own the delivery ofGenAI/ML models and systems usingLLMs RAGLangChainLangGraph andknowledge graphs.
- Drive the adoption ofMLOpspractices ensuring reliable model deployment monitoring and retraining pipelines.
- Actively contribute to system design architecture reviews and code reviews.
- Leverage cloud services (primarilyAWS and infrastructureascode to enable scalable resilientGenAI/ML platforms.
- Represent the team in engineering leadership forums release planning and executive briefings.
- Foster a collaborative and highperformance engineering culture balancing innovation with timely delivery.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and drive the adoption of emerging technologies and techniques inGenAI NLP and AI/ML.
- Ensure delivery quality by promoting best practices inTDD CI/CD DevOps and scalable infrastructure design.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear concise information for senior leadership and nontechnical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) inComputer Science Engineering or related field.
- 12 years of experience in software engineeringGenAI/ML or a related technical domain.
- 6 years of experience leading engineering teams mentoring engineers and driving AI/ML innovation.
- Expertise indistributed systems microservices eventdriven services andorchestration frameworks.
- Strong programming skills inPythonwith deep experience in ML frameworks such asPyTorch TensorFlow JAX.
- Solid understanding ofdatacentric AI techniques knowledge graphs and retrievalaugmented generation (RAG).
- Strong grasp ofOOP design patterns andtestdriven development (TDD)methodologies.
- Proficiency in working withSQL databases (Oracle Snowflake)NoSQLGraph andVector databases.
- Extensive handson experience withAWS services(CloudFormation EC2 EKSSageMaker) andinfrastructureascodetools.
- Proven track record deliveringMLdriven solutions using LLMsLangChainLangGraph andGenAItechnologies.
- Expertise inNLP techniques model experimentation and finetuning large language models for production use.
- Strong experience withMLOpspracticesKubernetes andparallel computing techniques.
- Experience balancingexploration vs. exploitationwhen introducing new technologies while ensuring production reliability.
- Exceptional communication skills to convey technical ideas to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Proven ability to work with and influence senior leadership and stakeholders across departments.
- Passion for leading and mentoring engineering teams fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
