Job Title:Reading Interventionist Reports To:School Principal or Designee FLSA Status: Exempt Job Summary: The Reading Interventionist will hold a current FDOE teacher certification in elementary education K6 or ELA and a reading endorsement. The reading interventionist plays a critical role in ensuring students receive highquality differentiated reading instruction. Interventionists support students in small groups with Tier II and Tier III reading instruction. Duties/Responsibilities: - Provides direct instruction to students identified as eligible for services in individual and/or small group settings.
- Uses identified needs to guide the learning process toward student achievement of districts content standards.
- Establishes clear objectives for all lessons units and projects using formal and informal assessment data obtained from students.
- Uses a variety of manipulatives and handson activities to support content standards and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Creates a classroom environment and evidencebased program of study that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
- Maintains accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy administrative guidelines or specific program requirements.

Education and Experience: - Current Florida Department of Education Certification in Elementary Education K6 or ELA 59 or 612 and active reading endorsement.
- Bachelors degree
- Previous experience preferred
- Much of the work is completed while sitting.
- Able to lift up to 15 pounds
