Job Description
- Provides direct instruction to students identified as eligible for services in individual and/or small group settings.
- Uses identified needs to guide the learning process toward student achievement of districts content standards.
- Establishes clear objectives for all lessons units and projects using formal and informal assessment data obtained from students.
- Uses a variety of manipulatives and handson activities to support content standards and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Creates a classroom environment and evidencebased program of study that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
- Maintains accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy administrative guidelines or specific program requirements.
- Computerliterate
- Able to collaborate with multiple individuals at varying levels
- Effective in written communication
- Able to establish effective working relationships
- Knowledge of subject content.
- Strong oral written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage students.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Current Florida Department of Education Certification in Elementary Education K6 or ELA 59 or 612 and active reading endorsement.
- Bachelors degree
- Previous experience preferred
- Much of the work is completed while sitting.
- Able to lift up to 15 pounds
